VINCENT, J. H. Death
Article died at his home, No. 543 Gray St.,
North Denver. He was a
resident during the past nine years, from Chicago
and was engaged in mining
interests. It was noted that he was a believer
in the Christian Science
during the past few months. He, however, first
became convinced that he
could not obtain any relief from the physicians
and adopted the belief as
a last hope, but even in it there was no hope.
*Extensive article on his
death and his beliefs. The funeral will take place
from his late residence,
and will be conducted by the Improved Order of Red
Men. No inquest will be
held and the death certificate was signed by
Doctors W. L. Brett and N.
G. Burnham and certified that he died of Brights
Disease. He was 40 years
old and leaves his mother to mourn him. She had
requested Coroner Walley
to hold and inquest. The article further notes that
Mrs. Vincent had been treated
badly and she received notice of her sons death
via a telegram of
condolence from Chicago. Riverside Cemetery record, J. H.
Vincent, interment 5/17,
age 40 years. Rocky Mountain News 5/17/1890 Pg 6

VON TROTHA, CLAUD - Court
News - Supreme Court case involving a valuable
tract of land on Broadway.
the case has been in the courts since 1886.
Each year the land has
increased in value from $100 an acre at purchase,
to $10,000 and acre. Von Trotha,
a German count, came to America ten years
ago. He had little funds
but invested in the land now in litigation. He
sold the property to Mrs.
Bamberger. A legal complication arose and the
case dragged on through
district court and a decision given in favor of
Mrs. Bamberger. At the
Supreme court the judgment of the lower court was
affirmed. Since the
beginning of the litigation, Von Trotha has died and
Mrs. Helen Von Trotha
became the other plaintiff in error.

WAGNER, GEORGE Court
News Doctor testifies Wagner suffers from paresis,
a disease which, judging
from Wagners story, must be closely associated
with the disorder known as
big head. Wagner tells the court
he was the possessor of

Surrounded with a cable
railroad for the delectation and amusement of his
lady friends. Jay Gould

Untrue Death Conflicting rumors that a dispatch received
concerning his death is
untrue. His brother, Bolivar K. Walker, living on
the old homestead on the
North side, reports his brother made no reference
to a fishing trip to
Virginia. It is thought he would have mentioned doing
so when he left Denver

instead of having been
drowned in the Roanoke River. A telegram to Chicago last night
failed to locate him. John
Walker, Sr., father of J. B. and B. K. is in

supposed accident he would

He has been a charge of

and if the idea seized him
he would just as soon kill a man or not. While on
