concerning his death is untrue. His brother, Bolivar K. Walker, living on

the old homestead on the North side, reports his brother made no reference

to a fishing trip to Virginia. It is thought he would have mentioned doing

instead of having been drowned in the Roanoke River. A telegram to Chicago last night

failed to locate him. John Walker, Sr., father of J. B. and B. K. is in

WARNER, ALBERT D. - News Article - an old gentleman, age 70, solemnly swore

in the presence of six jurors in county court that he is now in his 17th year.

But he is a lunatic. He was in court for investigation of his mental condition.

He has been a charge of the county for a year and a half, rusticating at the

poor farm, but has developed a violent disposition. Mr. Eskridge examined

and stated that Warner was suffering from dementia, dominated by delusions

and if the idea seized him he would just as soon kill a man or not. While on

the stand he did not seem to know much about anything except that he was an

intimate friend of Martin Van Buren, wasn't sure if he was his brother, but

could prove they were cronies. He was adjudged insane, but did not seem to
